How much are your cakes ?

All of my cakes are tailored to the requirements of the customer and there are so many variables which affect the price, that it is not possible to produce a price list.  The longer the design takes to create, the higher the price will be. Please contact me  with as much detail as possible as to your requirements and I will be able to give you a quote.

Do you deliver?

I can deliver on request. Delivery is charged at 50p per mile round trip and this is calculated using AA routefinder. I strongly recommend delivery for wedding cakes, as I take no responsibility for the cake once it leaves the premeses if you choose to collect the cake yourself. Remember, stacked cakes are extremely heavy and difficult to transport yourself.

How do I order a Cake?

Once you are happy with the quotation I have given you for the cake you require, you can print off a booking form from my website, complete and return to me together with the deposit for me to secure the date for you. I regret that I am not able to hold a date open for you without taking a booking deposit.

How much notice do you require?

This is a difficult question to answer, as wedding bookings can be made a long way ahead, and may mean that a week becomes fully booked and I may be unable to take other bookings for that week. To avoid disappointment especially for weddings, it is best to book as far ahead as you are able to. Fruit cakes are best matured for 8- 10 weeks so are best booked well in advance.

If I make the cake can you decorate it for me?

I am afraid I am unable to do this for you - I only decorate cakes I have made myself to ensure it is a suitable base for me to be confident to work with.

 Can I come and see you to order my cake?

I work from home so dont have any shop or business premises. For weddings, I generally arrange for you to come and see me here, as there will be many things which you will want to discuss and this takes time and is best done face to face. I also offer cake samples for you to taste to ensure you know what you will be getting and are happy with the flavour. Consultations are done strictly by appointment so please contact me to arrange a suitable time
 Other celebration cakes can generally be discussed and booked either by phone, or e-mail. Discussions about design ideas and any pictures you have found can be sent to me in this way and it generally works well.

What are your business hours?  As I work from home, I am happy for you to ring me any day except Sunday between 8.30am to 8.00pm. I may not of course always be in, but please do leave me a message and I will call you back. alternatively, you may E-mail me at any time convenient to you and that way I can return your e-mail as soon as I can.
